Safe Driving Tips

1. Focus on Driving: Keep 100% of your attention on driving. Don’t use your phone or other electronics while driving.

2. Slow Down: Speeding give you less time to react and can increase the likelihood of a collision.

3. Drive Defensively: Be aware of what other drivers around you are doing. Assume other drivers might do something reckless and be prepared for it. A good rule of thumb is to keep a 2-second cushion between you and the car in front of you.

4. Make a Safe Driving Plan: Keep necessary items within reach and don’t attempt to retrieve items out of reach. Adjust seats and mirrors before you put the car in gear.

5. Practice Safety: Always wear you seat belt and drive sober and drug free. Do not drive if you are tired or drowsy. Take time to refuel your body before hitting the road.

Motor vehicle collisions happen, but each of us can do our part to prevent them. Remember to always drive safe!
